Marin T. Bradshaw
Partner
Marin is a California Bar Certified Specialist in the area of Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law. Marin's legal practice focuses on high net worth estate planning, complex trust administration, and trust and probate disputes. She speaks throughout California on trust and estate topics and has written for national publications. Marin works extensively with individual trustees and beneficiaries, professional fiduciaries, and their professional advisors.
She earned her BA degree in Communication Studies with minors in Music and Statistics from Brigham Young University. She received her JD, cum laude, also from Brigham Young University, where she was President of the Public Interest Law Foundation and Associate Editor for the Education Law Journal. She coaches a local high school mock trial team and regularly donates her time with Public Law Center's immigration clinics.

Michael has tried over 50 civil cases in state and federal courts throughout California. His successful trial record has resulted in his being invited into the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), and has also resulted in his selection by Law and Politics Magazine as a “California Superlawyer” for fifteen years in a row. This is an honor bestowed upon the top 5% of all attorneys in California. Michelle's practice is focused on the representation of small businesses, with an emphasis on design professional firms. She has extensive experience in ownership transitions (including mergers and acquisitions), entity selection and formation, buy-sell/shareholder agreements, and contract drafting and negotiation, along with disputes arising out of business deal related matters. She also practices in the areas of estate planning, and probate and trust administration.Michelle received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame (BA, 1993), and her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law (JD, Cum Laude 1996). She began her law career in Minnesota (1996), and has been practicing law in California since 2001.
Michelle currently serves as the managing partner for her firm. Michelle has also served as a member of the board of directors and the president of the Notre Dame Club of Orange County, and acted as the Executive Director for the club’s ND2OC community service endowment. She founded the Notre Dame Professionals of Orange County in 2011.
Devin E. Murtaugh
Partner
Devin handles general civil litigation and probate litigation, and has tried numerous cases to verdict throughout Southern California. Most of his cases involve buisness, real estate, construction and inheritance disputes. He is also the firm's appellate practitioner. He has lectured for the AIA Orange County, and is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. Outside the office, he plays and occasionally coaches flag football, and is one of the longest-serving captians in Orange County's Beach City Sports Leauge.

Representative Matters:
• Obtained a defense verdict in a dispute over 20 years of apartment rental profits (jury trial);
• Obtained a defense verdict in favor of a major structural-engineering firm in an alleged design-malpractice case (jury trial);
• Obtained a defense verdict in a real estate partition action (court trial);
• Obtained a judgment of nonsuit in a Marvin v. Marvin “palimony” action (jury trial);
• Obtained a defense verdict in a partnership business-opportunity dispute (court trial);
• Obtained a defense verdict in a business-defamation case (jury trial)
• Obtained a $2 million reduction in damages on an elder-abuse jury verdict;
• Obtained a $1.2 million reduction in damages on a partnership-dispute court judgment;
• Successfully appealed a court judgment modifying a family trust to alter the distribution of a family home;
• Vacated a $770,000 judgment for lack of personal jurisdiction.
Michael J. Murtaugh

Mike's practice focuses on counseling and representing design professionals concerning liability and business matters, employment counseling and litigation, and general civil litigation.
He performed his undergraduate work at the University of Cincinnati (BA, with honors, 1970), and received his law degree from the UCLA School of Law (JD, 1973) where he represented the school in the National Moot Court Competition and was elected to the Order of the Barristers.
Mike has received Martindale Hubbell’s highest possible “AV Preeminent” rating for ethics and competence; and he frequently lectures to legal and professional organizations including, the Orange County Bar Association where he has served on the faculty of the College of Trial Advocacy, the AIA OC (e.g., “Law 101,” and “Contracts 801,” “A/E Intellectual Property Primer,” “Surviving Difficult Times, ” and “Ownership Transition”), SEAOSC (“The Art of Contract Negotiation”) and ACEC (e.g., “Drainage Law” and “Litigationwise Project Management”).
He has served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and as Chairman of the Board of Easter Seals of Southern California; and he is an honorary member of the Orange County Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
