Ms. Kim is a proud graduate of Martin Luther King Hall, UC Davis law school. While at Davis, she served as a clerk to US District Court Chief Justice, Lawrence K. Karlton. She also clerked at the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District, White Collar Crimes Division. After immigrating from Korea, Ms. Kim graduated Summa Cum Laude from UC Irvine in three years, receiving a major and a minor, while working full-time.
 
She is dedicated to public advocacy, and is a supporter of various initiatives related to homelessness, women's and children's rights. Ms. Kim is a mother to two children, both avid water polo players presently attending college in the east coast. In her free time, she enjoys trying out new recipes, hiking and Bikram yoga.
