Brendan J. Coughlin
Brendan performed his undergraduate work at the University of California, Irvine (BA, 1981), and received his law degree from the Western State University College of Law (JD, 1990), where he earned an American Jurisprudence Award in legal research and published in the university newsletter. He received an MBA from the University of California, Irvine School of Business in 2004.
His practice currently focuses on the litigation of trust and estate matters, including will contests, fiduciary removal actions, trust disputes, special needs trusts, conservatorships, fiduciary accountings and contested estates.
Brendan has previously served as an arbitrator on the Orange County Superior Court panel. He has successfully represented numerous individuals and businesses during his legal career both as a general civil litigator, and as an advocate for commercial and residential contractors. He is active in the Orange County Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates, and Conservatorship, Guardianship, and Protective Proceedings Sections. He has also volunteered his time to lecture to Orange County entrepreneurial groups regarding new business formation and related statutory issues.
