John P. Hannon, III is a Senior Associate Attorney with Murtaugh Law LLP and assists individuals and families with estate planning, tax planning, and trust administration.
 
John has extensive experience in both simple and complex trust and estate administration. His deep knowledge of administration informs his counsel on the planning side to provide efficiency and achieve better results. He advises clients on tax structures to preserve generational wealth and focuses on how the choices made in estate planning can help or hinder family dynamics.

 
John earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Santa Barbara, his Juris Doctor degree from the Colleges of Law, and his LL.M. in Taxation from Loyola Law School. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association (Trust & Estates section and Taxation section) and the California Lawyers Association (Trust and Estates section). John is also an active member in his community as a board member of Trail Life and an afterschool chess teacher.
