Murtaugh is pleased to welcome Eric Nimmo to the firm as an associate in our litigation practice.
Eric focuses on trust and estate litigation and complex business disputes. He represents trustees, beneficiaries, business owners, and high net worth individuals in contested matters involving breach of fiduciary duty, trust administration disputes, ownership conflicts, and related civil litigation. He brings a disciplined, strategic approach to every matter, with a clear focus on protecting client interests and positioning cases for efficient resolution.
Before joining Murtaugh, Eric practiced in the Government and Regulatory Law Department at Rutan & Tucker, where he represented public entities in litigation and advised on compliance matters, including issues under the California Public Records Act. His earlier work in construction litigation further strengthened his foundation in contract disputes and damages analysis across complex factual settings.
Eric earned his J.D. from USC Gould School of Law and previously served in the United States Army as an Infantryman.
