Helen’s practice focuses on employment matters and she has been counseling companies with every type of employment issue imaginable for over 20 years.
She earned BAs in both Journalism and Communications Arts and Sciences from the University of Southern California, and her law degree from Loyola Law School.
Most recently, Helen served as a Senior Vice President of Human Resources and General Counsel, running the Human Resources and Legal Departments for one of California’s largest non-profit health care systems including six hospitals and over 12,000 employees with both a unionized and non-union workforce. She routinely lectures and provides employment law training to all levels of human resource professionals and business leaders at individual companies, as well as working with the Institute for Applied Management and Law, the National Business Institute, and the California Employers’ Group.
Helen is known for proposing creative solutions to sticky workplace issues so that businesses can focus on their business—not employment problems.
